The Indian Air Force has announced the AFCAT Application for 2024. You can apply online from May 30, 2024 until June 28, 2024. This is for both men and women who want to join as officers in flying and ground duty.
The AFCAT exam will happen on August 9, 10, and 11, 2024. If you want to apply, make sure you fit the age and education requirements. For flying branch, you need to be 20 to 24 years old. For ground duty, it’s 20 to 26.

Eligibility Criteria For AFCAT 2024 Vacancies
The educational qualification criteria for AFCAT 2024 vacancies are as follows
- Flying Branch: Candidates must have passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level. Additionally, they should have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. Alternatively, candidates with a BE/B Tech degree or those who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with a minimum of 60% marks are also eligible.
- Ground Duty (Technical): For the technical branch, candidates need to have a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from a recognized university or cleared sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Candidates aspiring for the non-technical branch must have a graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks. This includes candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, and Engineering.
For those interested in the Ground Duty Branches, both Technical and Non-Technical, the age criteria are slightly different. The minimum age is still 20 years, but the upper age limit is 26 years for these branches. So if you’re aiming for a position in Ground Duty, you have a bit more flexibility with the age range.
Selection Procedure of the Afcat
The selection process for AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) 2024 is a multi-step procedure designed to find the best candidates for the Indian Air Force. Here’s a simple breakdown of the steps:
Written Test: First, you need to take the AFCAT written exam. This test checks your knowledge and understanding in various areas relevant to the Air Force
