The eligibility criteria for AP Jagananna Chedodu scheme 2024 are as follows:
- The beneficiary should be a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
- The beneficiary should belong to the tailors, washermen or barbers community of any caste.
- The beneficiary should have a family annual income less than or equal to Rs. 2,50,000.
- The beneficiary should not own any four-wheeler (except taxis) or property worth more than Rs. 1,500 sq. ft. in urban areas.
- The beneficiary should not be a government employee or pensioner.
- The beneficiary should not be studying through distance learning or correspondence courses.
- The beneficiary should have availed admission in a recognized college or university for pursuing regular courses such as B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, ITI, Polytechnic, B.Ed, M.Tech, M.Pharmacy, MBA or other degree/PG courses.

He said that Rs.330.15 crore has been released to provide cash assistance to over 3.30 lakh eligible beneficiaries under this scheme. He also said that this scheme will help them become more economically secure and benefit from other welfare schemes launched by his government
