Objective Of Bihar Scholarship
To get Bihar Scholarship, you need to fill a form on the internet on the scholarship website. You also need to show some papers like your group, your income, your address, your bank account, your Aadhaar card, etc. The last date to fill the form for SC and ST students is 28/02/2023. The website for BC and EBC students is not ready yet. You can check your form and money on the website or on your phone.
Procedure To Apply Post Metric Scholarship
steps to apply for Post Matric Scholarship for BC-EBC under Bihar Scholarship:
- Visit the official website of Bihar Post Matric Scholarship at https://pmsonline.bih.nic.in/.
- Click on the link that says BC & EBC Students click here to apply Post Matric Scholarship.
- Register yourself by providing your name, mobile number, email id, category, course, institution and other details.
- Login with your registered mobile number and password.
- A application form will be visible and Fill the online application form with your personal, academic and bank details.
- Upload the required documents such as caste certificate, income certificate, mark sheet, bank passbook etc.
- Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.
The last date to apply for the scholarship is 31st July 2023. You can check your application status and contact the district PMS nodal officer for any query on the website.
List Of Scholarships Available Under the Bihar Scholarship
Following is a list of scholarships of Bihar State
- Post matric scholarship for BC-EBC: This scholarship is for students belonging to Backward Classes (BC) and Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) who are pursuing post-matriculation studies in Bihar or outside the state. The scholarship covers tuition fees, maintenance allowance and other allowances. The last date to apply for this scholarship is 15-08-2022.
- ST and SC Post Matric Scholarship: This scholarship is for students belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Scheduled Castes (SC) who are pursuing post-matriculation studies in Bihar or outside the state. The scholarship covers tuition fees, maintenance allowance and other allowances. The last date to apply for this scholarship is 28-02-2023.
- Chief Minister KanyaUtthanYojna (Graduation): This scholarship is for girl students who have passed intermediate or equivalent examination from Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) or any other recognized board and are enrolled in graduation courses in any recognized institution. The scholarship amount is Rs. 25,000 per student.
- Chief Minister Kanya Intermediate: This scholarship is for girl students who have passed matriculation or equivalent examination from Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) or any other recognized board and are enrolled in intermediate courses in any recognized institution. The scholarship amount is Rs. 10,000 per student.
Other Scholarships in Bihar
- Mukhyamantri MedhaVi Yojna (Madhyamika +2): This scholarship is for meritorious students who have secured at least 75% marks in matriculation or equivalent examination from Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) or any other recognized board and are enrolled in intermediate courses in science, commerce or arts streams in any recognized institution. The scholarship amount is Rs. 10,000 per year for two years.
- MukhyamantriBalak/Balika Protsahan Yojana: This scholarship is for meritorious students who have secured first division in matriculation or equivalent examination from Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) or any other recognized board and belong to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), Disabled, Minority or General Category. The scholarship amount is Rs. 5,000 per student.
- Other Backward Classes Pre-Matric (Scholarship) Scheme: This scholarship is for students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC) who are studying in classes 1 to 10 in Bihar. The scholarship covers tuition fees, maintenance allowance and other allowances.
- Other Backward Classes Post-Graduation Scholarship Scheme: This scholarship is for students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC) who are pursuing post-graduation courses in Bihar or outside the state. The scholarship covers tuition fees, maintenance allowance and other allowances.
